After broadcasting a program on loneliness, Igor (above) received a call from Beibars, a 28-year-old immigrant from Azerbaijan.
He had come to Moscow to support his aging parents but found only rejection and humiliation. Loneliness and despair overwhelmed him.
“I started drinking. Some days, I thought about ending my life,” he told Igor.
Then, Beibars discovered FEBC’s programs. Hearing the hope in Jesus touched something deep inside him.
“This is what I’ve been longing for,” he said. Igor encouraged him to read the Gospel and pray. Beibars began reading Mark and now regularly calls Igor with questions. They pray together, and something is changing in his heart.
